About
Jovan Theophilus, Chen is a Chinese-Indonesian architectural designer and researcher currently based in Taipei. Born and raised in Indonesia, he is currently working with XRANGE Architects in Taipei. He holds a B.Arch degree (with distinction) from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, and has participated in the AAC (Academy of Architectural Culture) 2024 workshop in Hamburg.
Jovan's academic works have been awarded with numerous awards and featured in various publications, including the 2025 IEAGD Exhibition, 2025 Taipei Architects Association Thesis Prize, James S.C. Huang Thesis Prize, 2024 Architectural Institute of Kaohsiung Student Project Award, 2023 Young Visionary Architecture Competition, Archstorming Humanitarian Architecture Competition, etc.
Jovan's professional experience includes diverse working environments in Taiwan, Denmark, and Germany. He has worked with CEBRA in Aarhus, Q-Lab Architects in Taipei, and YS Spacedesign in Tainan.
