Jovan Theophilus, Chen is a Chinese-Indonesian architectural designer currently based in Taipei. Born and raised in Indonesia, he is currently collaborating with XRANGE Architects in Taipei. He holds a B.Arch degree (with distinction) from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, and has participated in the AAC (Academy of Architectural Culture) 2024 workshop in Hamburg.
From 2023 to 2024, Jovan worked with the renowned Danish firm CEBRA, collaborating with architects and engineers on projects across Europe and Asia. He has also gained experience with Q-Lab Architects in Taipei and YS Spacedesign in Tainan.
His design approach is rooted in collective studies, research, and a strong commitment to human-centered design. Shaped by diverse experiences in Taiwan, Denmark, and Germany, Jovan’s practice reflects a unique fusion of sensibilities and a focus on creating architecture that resonates with its context.
